- “You need Dysphoria / Gender Dysphoria to be trans / being trans is a mental disorder!”
According to the APA, DSM-5, WHO, and the ICD-11 (one of the most trusted sources of mental health and psychology in America), you do not. {x} {x} {x} {x} {x}
Not all transgender people have Gender Dysphoria, but all transgender people have Gender Incongruence.
“Dysphoria / Gender Dysphoria just means disconnect! It doesn’t mean distress or depression!”
Dysphoria can defined as “extreme sadness” [x] and in the context of “Gender Dysphoria” it is distress related to gender incongruence. Gender Dysphoria is MENTAL DISORDER for a reason. [x] [x] [x] [x]
- “There is no such thing as non-binary / third genders!”
Blatantly false. Non-binary identities have been recognized for millennia by cultures and societies around the world. Even the diagnostic criteria for Gender Incongruence and Gender Dysphoria says “To be of a gender other than one’s assigned gender.” {x} {x} {x} {x} {x} {x} {x} {x} {x}
- “He/Him lesbians / She/Her gay men don’t / can’t exist!”
Yes they do and yes they can. Lesbians using masculine pronouns and gay men using feminine pronouns have existed for a very long time. {x} {x} and so have gender inclusive pronouns. {x} {x} {x} I don’t know why you’d even want to dictate someone’s personal usage of pronouns, but alright.
- “But brain sex-”
Group-level sex differences in single brain features do no ‘add-up’ to create two types of brains, one typical of biological women and the other typical of biological men, but rather that what is typical of both biological males and biological females is a brain comprised of a ‘mosaic’ of features, some in the form more common in biological males and some in the form more common in biological females. {x} {x} {x}
“The lack of internal consistency in human brain and gender
characteristics undermines the dimorphic view of human brain
and behavior and calls for a shift in our conceptualization of the
relations between sex and the brain. Specifically, we should shift
from thinking of brains as falling into two classes, one typical of
males and the other typical of females, to appreciating the variability
of the human brain mosaic” {x}Also, 3G-males and 3G-females (Genetic-gonadal-genitals) have intersex brain and intersex gender. {x}
I will be adding more to this once I find more sources, thank you @critical-lucina for helping me out with this!

What’s the deal with self diagnosing? Do you have to have scientific proof? Or be in the medical field? Why do people self diagnose instead of going to doctors? Not trying to be rude at all. I’m just confused and trying to educate myself lol. 💞
We really are going to steer away from this especially since this is not my area of influence, but to answer your question about why do people self diagnose, it’s because going to a doctor, mental health or not, is hard (especially when youre like me and have 0 insurance and no money) and doctors love to misdiagnose or ignore certain conditions.

Mini note
After a suicide attempt and some crying, I’ve decided it is in my best interest to take a hiatus from the blog, community, and current discourse for a short while. I am still able to be reached by my personal blog and discord, but I will be absent from here for a week or two.

honestly tho i feel like a lot of the issue with the fact its hard for us (mspec, aspec, nonbinary, whatever) to get our own culture is like…. well for one, most of us arent able to have stuff going on IRL where we can be Together as a Group, and we just cant fucking agree on what terms to use.
now i love labels more than anyone but we gotta focus on making shit that theres like… a Huge use for. we can make the tiny things too just like? maybe we Don’t need another set of masc/fem presentation terms. Maybe we don’t need more terms to replace male/female aligned.
but thats Also the thing. what DO we need? What do we need, guys? how would we go About discovering what we need, and how to do it? Because if we tried to come up with a unifying thing its gonna be like that lesbian flag poll where now theres just dozens of flags and everyone still uses the lipstick lesbian one anyway
@uncommongenders i know this is super hard to read probably, but any thoughts?
i’d love thoughts from anyone, mspec aspec or nonbinary
I had planned to add on for a while, but kept forgetting so here it is.
I personally feel that the mogai community is really scattered and less focused on community and trying to explain to others and more focused on coining tiny labels
This is not to say that recent terms are invalid nor bad. This is saying that I personally feel that the community has been a lot more scattered and separated.
I also feel that the community is grown more to accepting anything regardless without questions, consideration of need, or anything of the sort.
Instead, I feel that it would help to have the community be more open to discussion, skepticism, debates, and being able to explain things in more simple matters.
If anyone else would like to add on, please do.

A mini PSA
When it comes to “why do you have _ as a trigger?”, here’s why.
Because it triggers someone.
I don’t care how “silly” or “unreasonable” it is. It is still a valid trigger.
i’m not trying to be hateful but i hope that you realize the only places these genders are valid is among this tumblr page. you can’t legally be pixelgender or demigirl agender. so, my question is, do you really take this seriously?
I mean, i can’t legally be a boy either, so whats the problem? I would say ones personal experience supersedes the laws inevitable failing to keep up. Why should i care that i can’t pick pixelgender or genderfaun on the census? As long as theirs a “nonbinary” or “other: fill in the blank” i don’t think it matters (assuming that filling in that blank won’t get me automatically rejected from a job opprotunity that is bc thats a trap)
-hanni
Anon, I what I can and can not be in the eyes of the law makes 0 impact on my identity. Yea, I legally can’t be xenogender, but I can’t be legally nonbinary in my state either so it doesn’t matter.

is it ok for cis people to use emoji pronouns?
Technically yes, but if you’re cisgender and using emoji pronouns, it’s also a good time to look at why you’re using emoji pronouns.
-Admin Opal
do you guys truly believe all these genders exist? how old are u all? no hate at all I’m just curious as to what i guess.. made you believe? this sounds so mean agh.. im just confused but i want to understand! :)
Well, i’m 18! And i feel like gender is very much and individual and personal thing, so if someone feels like and identity fits them, then its real, at least to them. I started being really open to mogai identities because i made friends with a lot of people who use mogai labels and as i got older, i started really looking at some too (and identifying with them too!)
– hanni
18, yes, and I personally believe that gender is a personal experience that can use as little or as many labels as as person wants.

hey yall! sorry to bother but littlespace isnt a kink, stop letting pedos steal terms from people trying to cope with childhood abuse. pedophiles literally stole that term from us to use in their disgusting age play kink.
You’re right. Littlespace itself isn’t a kink, but cgl is and the blog in question made ddlg flags. But I’m not going to further argue this.
